Moving You Forward, 5k Breast Cancer Walk

No script news to report, but did want to share that we spent the morning in downtown Vancouver (yes, there really is one now-a-days) for the "Clara Jean, Moving You Forward, 5k Breast Cancer Walk."

Heather had seen a flier for the event in our gym and thought it would be something we'd enjoy participating in. We each have Aunts that are cancer survivors, and although they both still battle the disease and don't live in Vancouver, we thought supporting the event would be fun and something we could do to show our support for them.

The weather was a bit chilly. The walk route took us along the Vancouver waterfront, Columbia River shoreline, so there was a bit of a breeze coming off the river. But overall people were having a great time and we enjoyed the morning and hope it sent an extra special blessing to our Aunts Janice and Dee.

Up next...Bloomsday '07...a 12k fun run/walk in Spokane, WA that we try to get to every year. This walk is a fun annual event for a number of people in our family, so we're really looking forward to it. Well, all of it but "doomsday hill" a mile long stretch well over half way into the walk that is straight up hill!

"Inside" rewrite = 60% done

Things have slowed down a lot lately for two reasons.

One...I shifted a character who was integral in the last 60% of my last draft and made her more of a supplemental character in this draft. So, essentially, I'm completely rewriting the story from the last 10 pages or so forward, which is leading towards a brand new Act III that I haven't even figured out yet.

Second...I've been under deadline on a project I'm putting together for my wife for her Grandpa who turns 84 on the 19th. He was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's and he means a LOT to my wife, so the project we're putting together for his birthday is very significant. Without giving away what it is (in case family eyes are reading) let's just say it's taking some cherished memories from the past and bringing them into the future and beyond.

I should be wrapping that project tonight, so hopefully I can dive back into cracking out the final 40 pages of "Inside." As usual I have about a half dozen ideas floating around my head for the next script I'm going to work on!
