Camping Practice

In an effort to have a more active lifestyle, Heather and I have discussed spending more weekends out and about camping in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. But before we ventured out to some remote location and got stuck sleeping in our car, we figured we could take advantage of a recent hot night to practice a little camp out.

We picked up a nice-sized family tent from Craigslist last summer. It's a miracle we were even able to get it set up right after having it in the garage for almost a year! Air mattresses made this night MUCH more enjoyable than the first time we camped out after we got the tent.

A couple giddy kids took a bit longer than usual to fall asleep, but once they were out they slept peacefully through the night.

It got a bit chilly in the heart of the night. Luckily I had the perfect cuddle partner in the morning!

Mommy needed some cuddle warmth too.

So the breakfast wasn't quite outdoor-cooked, but it was still a good practice run.

I think we're ready to take our camping to the next level.
